TWN: Li-Wu Hotel

Zhongbu Cross-Island Highway, No. 242-2 Fushih Village, Hualien, Taiwan

Said to be a pet-friendly accommodation, though my BFF and I didn't have any pets with us, Li-Wu Hotel (3*) is approximately 300 m away from the Gate of Taroko near the bridge that leads to the Taroko National Park Tourist Information Centre.

We took a bus from Xincheng Station to the hotel.

No one else boarded the bus.

Thanks goes to the friendly driver. :)

The hotel also runs a small hostel for those looking for a cheaper alternative.

The exterior looks pretty nice, no?

We were greeted by the mother of the owner who can only speak Mandarin and Hokkien.

Is the keychain supposed to be a kind of a traditional musical instrument?
We were assigned to Room 506 on the second floor.

The double room is spacious.

From the brand name of the toiletries, I've got to know of a group of marine mammals called porpoise.

Indulge in a Chinese poem written on the door of the toilet~

What about the view outside the room?

Enjoying the scenery while being caressed by the cooling evening breeze~
Lan Lan Restaurant is the only eatery that we tried nearby for dinner.

The friendly grandma prepares porridge with side dishes every morning for breakfast, along with steamed buns and white bread.

I actually didn't expect to see a simple coffee machine there. :P

I believe Johnny is the name of the owner of the accommodation. From what I gathered from the Internet, he's the one who can speak English. He wasn't around during our stay though.

  1. Hi Cliff. Is there a particular bus I should look for to go to Liwu Hotel from the Xincheng train station? I'll be travelling tomorrow.

Hello! So sorry for the late reply. The bus is just outside the station. I can't remember the bus, but simply mention Liwu Hotel to the bus driver and he/she will ask you to board if it goes there. Have fun!
